Connect LiKE to an AI assistant, and it will search and read your knowledge base articles right in the conversation, and save the documents you create together to LiKE, organized by project.

LiKE connects via MCP (Model Context Protocol), an open standard that lets AI assistants work with external services.

#What you get

  • Answers from your knowledge base. The assistant searches and reads articles with your permissions: it sees only what you can see in LiKE. Drafts and unpublished articles are not available to it.
  • Documents don't get lost in chats. With your permission, the assistant saves a document to LiKE. It shows up in the space team's search right away and is not published externally.
  • Organized by project. Each assistant project has its own folder. A document without a project goes to the folder chosen when connecting.
  • No copies. Saving the same document again updates it instead of creating a new one.

The assistant cannot publish articles externally, delete or move them.

#Who can connect

The organization's owner, admins and editors. Readers and guests cannot connect assistants. If someone's role is lowered below editor, their connections are disconnected automatically.

#Connection address

Profile → Security → Connected apps → “Connection address” → “Copy”. The address looks like https://<slug>.lynkora.pro/mcp.

#Connecting Claude

Works for Claude in the browser and Claude Desktop.

  1. Copy the connection address.
  2. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, paste the address and click Add.
  3. Claude opens the LiKE sign-in: sign in and choose a space on the permission screen.

#Connecting VS Code

  1. In LiKE, open Profile → Security → Connected apps and click Open VS Code on the VS Code card.
  2. VS Code opens the LiKE server page — click Install.
  3. VS Code opens the LiKE sign-in in your browser: sign in, choose a space and click Allow. The browser asks whether to open Visual Studio Code — allow it.
  4. Ask in the VS Code chat in Agent mode: LiKE tools appear in the chat tools list.

To check the connection: Command Palette → MCP: List Servers → LiKE — status Running.

#Permission screen

  • Space — where the assistant searches by default. Only spaces you can read are listed. The assistant can also search your other spaces, within your permissions.
  • Folder for the assistant's documents — shown when the assistant asks for write access. If there is no folder you can save to: “There is no folder you can save to — the connection will be read-only.”
  • Allow or Deny.

#When the assistant asks for write access

If the connection is read-only and the assistant wants to save a document, it asks for more access: LiKE shows the permission screen again, with a choice of folder for documents.

#Projects

A document with a project name goes to a subfolder with that name inside the assistant's folder; it is created on the first save. In Connected apps → Projects:

  • you can bind a project to another folder — new documents go there, already saved ones stay where they are;
  • Unbind — removes the binding, the folder and documents stay;
  • Copy instruction — a line for project instructions in Claude, CLAUDE.md or .cursor/rules: with it the assistant saves this project's documents to its folder.

#Disconnecting

  • Yourself: Profile → Security → Connected apps → Disconnect. Access ends with the next request. There you can also change the space and the folder for documents.
  • Admin: Integrations → LLM connectors — connections of all members and disconnecting any of them. Disconnections are recorded in the audit log.
  • Automatically: leaving the organization, member suspension or a role lowered below editor.

#If it doesn't connect

What you see What to do
“Connecting AI assistants is disabled for your role — contact your administrator.” Editors and above can connect — contact your organization's admin.
“The request has expired — start connecting in the app again.” Start connecting in the assistant again.
“Space unavailable — choose another one” Profile → Security → Connected apps: choose another space.
The assistant reports a plan limit The organization's article or content limit is reached: free up space or change the plan.
The assistant reports the folder is managed by a connector Choose another folder: you can't save to folders synced by a connector.
