The Share feature creates a public link to an individual article — so you can show it to someone without a LiKE account (a client, a contractor, a colleague from another department). This is the feature's sole purpose: to grant access to one article via a link.
Don't confuse it with two other scenarios:
- Access for colleagues inside the organization is granted not by a link, but through space membership and roles — see Team management and Space access.
- Embedding the knowledge base on your website (publicly or for employees) is done with the search widget, not by sharing each article step by step — see API and widget and Public knowledge base.
#Public link to an article
- Open the article in the editor
- Click the Share button in the top bar
- Click "Create link"
- Copy it and send it to the recipient
The recipient will open the article in read-only mode without signing in.
