The admin panel consists of a top menu (header) and a left menu (sidebar) — both available on any screen. What you see in the left menu depends on two roles: your role in the organization (Owner / Admin / Editor / User / Guest) and your role in the current space (Admin / Editor / Viewer). More about roles — Roles and access rights.
#Top menu (header)
On the left — breadcrumbs: the name of the current space / the title of the open section.
On the right — buttons (the same for all roles):
| Element | What it does |
|---|---|
| Onboarding chip | Appears until onboarding is complete — an entry point to the setup wizard |
| 🔔 Notifications | A bell with an unread badge (on overflow — "9+"). Opens the list; "Mark all as read" |
| 🔍 Search | Command palette (⌘K / Ctrl+K) — quick navigation across sections and article search. Works on any page |
| 🌗 Theme | Cycle icon: light → dark → system |
| 🌐 Language | Interface language (11 locales) |
| 👤 Profile | Initials avatar → menu: Profile, "Back to search", Log out |
Notification types in the bell: a review assignment ("Review"), a review outcome, a new comment, a space invitation, as well as plan/billing, connector, and onboarding events. Learn more — Notifications and emails.
#Left menu (sidebar)
At the top — the Space Switcher: the active space filters content across all sections. Below it — quick search (⌘K), AI Search, Overview, then sections grouped (Content / Management / Support), and at the end — Settings, Log, Trash, Plan.
The menu contents depend on your role. The "Who can access" column indicates which role is required — in the organization or in the space:
| Section | Who can access | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| ✨ AI Search | everyone | AI answers from the knowledge base |
| 🏠 Overview | everyone | Start screen |
| 📄 Articles | list — everyone; editing — Editor+ in the space | Article list and management |
| ✏️ Editor | Editor+ in the space (organization Owner/Admin — always) | Creating/editing an article |
| ❓ Questions | Editor+ (organization) * | User questions and gaps (Gap Alerts) |
| 📊 Analytics | Admin / Owner * | Usage, cost, traffic |
| 👥 Team | Admin / Owner | Members, roles, invitations |
| 🔌 Integrations | Admin / Owner * | Content sources and channels |
| 🗄 AI Cache | Admin / Owner | Cached AI answers |
| 💬 Support | create a ticket — everyone; all organization tickets are visible to Owner / Admin | Support tickets |
| 📚 Documentation | everyone | External link to help |
| ⚙ Settings | Admin / Owner | Organization settings |
| 📋 Activity log | Admin / Owner * | Change history |
| 🗑 Trash | Editor+ (in accessible spaces) | Deleted items with restore |
| 💳 Plan | opened by Admin / Owner; changing the plan and paying — Owner only | Plan, limits, billing, add-ons |
* — the section is also hidden on lower plans via a feature gate: Analytics — from Starter, Questions and Integrations — from Pro, Activity log — from Business. See Plans.
Additionally in the sidebar: counter badges (the number of articles in the space, unread questions, items in Trash), active section highlighting, a collapse icon (turns the menu into a narrow icon strip — tooltips appear on hover), and at the bottom — user and log out and the app version.
Two access axes. Your organization role sets access to management sections (Analytics, Team, Integrations, Settings, Log, Plan — from Admin/Owner). Working with a specific space's content is determined by your role in that space: an organization User with the Editor role in a space can fully edit its articles; an organization Editor with the Viewer role in a space can only read. The organization Owner and Admin have access to all spaces. More details — Roles and access rights.
#Tooltips
Many elements have hover tooltips (appearing after ~350 ms): icons without text, collapsed-menu buttons, colored article-status badges (public / internal / draft), limit progress bars, metrics on the Overview screen. If something is unclear, hovering the cursor almost always gives the answer.
#Contextual help
The ? button in the bottom-right corner opens tips for the current page, keyboard shortcuts, and support links.
