Built-in AI features are available right inside the editor. They all work with the text of your article and use the knowledge base context — so they write in "your" style, see neighboring articles and know your terminology.

Where to find them:

  • The ✦ AI button in the toolbar — opens a dropdown menu with five operations (formatting, analysis, editor, translator, writer)
  • The drag handle ⋮⋮ to the left of a block — a context menu for a single paragraph / heading / list
  • "+ New article" → AI Writer — start a blank article from a prompt

#AI Writer — generating articles from scratch

Create an entire article from a short topic description. Launched from the "+ New article" button (choose "AI Writer") or from the ✦ AI → AI Writer menu in the editor.

How to use:

  1. A two-column mode opens: on the left — the AI Writer panel, on the right — the article editor
  2. Enter a prompt — a short description of the topic ("How to set up SSO in Google Workspace for our team")
  3. Choose a writing style: Professional, Friendly, Technical, Step-by-step, Reference or Detailed
  4. Choose the article length: Short (≈700–900 words), Medium (≈1000–1300), In-depth (≈1300–2000) or Detailed (≈2000–3500)
  5. Optionally: add related articles — the AI will take their context into account so the new article aligns with what has already been written
  6. Click Create — the AI generates the article in real time (streaming, text appears as it is generated)

Refinement — a dialog with the AI after the first generation:

  • Give clarifications as text: "add a section about errors", "make the tone more formal", "cut it in half"
  • The AI remembers the context of the previous generation — each iteration improves the article rather than starting from scratch
  • Changes are shown in a diff modal in two columns: the original on the left, the new version on the right
  • Synchronized column scrolling — as you scroll the original, the new version scrolls in parallel (and vice versa). Handy for comparing corresponding fragments in long articles.
  • Accept / Reject buttons on each iteration. You can retry if you don't like the result.

When to use: you need a quick draft. In a minute the AI Writer structures the topic, and then you fill in details from your own experience.

#AI Formatting

Turns a "wall" of text into a structured article without changing its meaning.

What it does:

  • Adds headings and subheadings by meaningful blocks
  • Turns comma-separated enumerations into bulleted / numbered lists
  • Highlights key terms in bold
  • Splits long paragraphs into short logical blocks
  • Places dividers between sections

Does not change: the content, facts, or wording within sentences. Only the structure.

When to use: you pasted text from email, chat or Word — AI Formatting puts it in order in a second and makes it readable.

#AI Analysis

A comprehensive assessment of the article + improvement suggestions in the side panel.

How to use:

  1. Open the article and click ✦ AI → AI Analysis in the toolbar (or the AI Analysis button in the editor's right panel)
  2. The "Analysis" side panel opens — the AI reads the whole article and the knowledge base and builds a list of recommendations
  3. Each recommendation is a card with a type and an action button:
Recommendation type What it means Action
Add section The AI found an important meaningful block missing from the article Apply — add an empty section; Expand — the AI writes the content
Expand An existing section is too short for the topic Expand — the AI adds the missing details
Clarify A section reads unclearly Apply — rewrite it more clearly
Already in the base A related topic is covered in another article Open article — a link to the existing one
Quality Score Overall article score 0–100 (see below)
  1. After changes are applied, the Quality Score is recalculated automatically

When to use: before publishing a large article; periodically to audit the base (to see "blind spots" in coverage).

#AI Editor

Improves the readability and style of the entire article in one click — like "Grammarly": removes bureaucratese, splits long sentences, fixes clumsy wording and paragraph coherence. It does not change facts, structure, headings, lists, images or links.

How to use:

  1. Open the article and choose ✦ AI → AI Editor
  2. A short window with an explanation opens — click "Improve" to run the pass
  3. The result is shown in a comparison window (diff) with a navigator through the changes
  4. Apply — accept the edits. Right after applying, a toast appears with an undo button in case the result didn't fit

How it differs from AI Formatting: the AI Editor can change wording (rewrite sentences), while AI Formatting changes only the structure without changing words.

How it differs from "Refine" (the AI Writer in refinement mode): the AI Editor runs a fixed preset without input — "make it cleaner and clearer". "Refine" accepts your prompt and can rewrite the article in any way.

When to use: the article is complete in meaning, but the text is heavy in places — one click puts the style in order across the whole article.

#AI Translator

Translation of an entire article into another language.

How to use:

  1. Open the article in the editor
  2. The ✦ AI → AI Translator menu
  3. Choose the target language from the list of supported translation languages
  4. Click Translate — both the title and the whole content are translated
  5. Review the result
  6. Buttons:
    • Copy — copy the translation to the clipboard
    • Save as new article — creates a separate article in the chosen language (the recommended option — the original stays unchanged)
Important. A translated article is always created as a separate record with the corresponding lang field. The original is not modified. This lets you store versions in different languages in parallel and link them via cross-language search.

Cross-language search: even if the base contains only Russian articles, users in other languages will get an answer — LiKE automatically translates the query and the answer. Creating an explicit translated article is needed when you want the target audience to see exactly the text you approved.

#The block menu (⋮⋮) — AI for a single paragraph

Each text block can be processed by AI individually, without running a large analysis of the whole article.

How to use:

  1. Hover over the block — the drag handle ⋮⋮ appears on the left
  2. Click ⋮⋮ — a context menu opens
  3. Choose an AI operation:
Operation What it does
✨ Improve rewrite the block in clearer language
⤓ Shorter shorten it while keeping the main idea
⤒ Longer expand it, add details and examples
↻ Rephrase put it in other words (the style stays yours)
🌐 Translate translate just this block (available if AI Translator is included in your plan)

Below the AI section are the usual block operations: Duplicate, Delete.

What happens after the click:

  • The result is shown in a small diff popup next to the block (a compact inline mode without a modal)
  • Buttons: Accept / Reject / Retry

Which blocks ignore the AI section: images, formulas (MathBlock), Mermaid diagrams, dividers, embeds, table cells, tables of contents — AI operations on them are meaningless, so only "Duplicate" and "Delete" are shown in the menu.

When to use: to refine a specific paragraph / heading / list item without shaking up the rest of the article. The most frequent operation in everyday work with already-written text.

#Quality Score

Every article receives an automatic score of 0–100 based on five components (each scored 0–20 points):

Completeness
Whether the topic is covered in enough detail — whether there are "holes" in covering the reader's typical questions
Structure
Headings, lists, logical division into sections — how easy the article is to skim
Readability
Paragraph and sentence length, clarity of wording, density of key terms
Coherence
How logically the parts of the article are connected and whether they contradict each other
Usefulness
How much the article actually helps the reader solve their task

Where the score is visible:

  • In the article list — the "Quality" column with a colored progress bar (🟢 70+ / 🟡 40–69 / 🔴 <40)
  • In the editor's right panel on the "Insights" tab — an expanded breakdown across the five components
  • The "Recheck" button — request a manual recalculation after edits

Relationship to AI Analysis: running AI Analysis automatically recalculates the Quality Score. And vice versa — a low score usually means there are cards with improvement suggestions in the side panel.

#Feature access by plan

AI tools are available on all plans — only the daily/monthly limits differ (a single token pool). On Free you can fully try each AI, and on paid plans the quota expands.

#Access conditions

For the AI buttons to appear in the editor, two conditions are needed:

  1. Role rights in the article's space. Author tools — AI Writer, AI Formatting, AI Editor, AI Translator and the AI operations in the block menu — are available from the Editor role and above. A space Viewer sees only AI Search and AI Chat over the base, but not the author tools. The organization Owner and Admin have access in all spaces.
  2. Plan and quota. If a tool is not part of the plan or the daily/monthly quota is exhausted, the author buttons are temporarily hidden (until the next period or an upgrade to a higher plan), and AI Search / AI Chat show an invitation to upgrade the plan.

#How AI limits are counted

All AI operations — AI Writer, formatting, translator, AI Analysis, the block menu, AI Chat and AI Search — draw from a single token pool shared across all tools. There are no separate counters of "so many generations per day for each tool".

The pool is described by three plan parameters:

Parameter What it limits
Tokens per month The total amount of AI work per billing period
Tokens per day A daily ceiling — so the monthly pool isn't exhausted in a single day
Requests per day The daily number of AI requests (chat, search, operations)

The specific values depend on the plan and region, so check the current numbers on the pricing page and in the Plan → Resource usage section of the admin panel. When the pool is exhausted, the AI button offers to move to a higher plan or wait for the next day/month.

If needed, on some plans you can buy additional token packs — the current list and prices are on the pricing page.

#Where to view AI usage

All AI operations consume tokens — the internal unit of LLM cost. Usage is transparent:

  • Plan → Resource usage — a counter of tokens and AI operations for the current period with a forecast to the end of the month
  • Activity log — every AI operation is logged with its type and (on request) the number of tokens
  • Limit exceeded — the AI feature is temporarily blocked until the next calendar day / month or until an upgrade to a higher plan

On Pro and Enterprise the token limit isn't hit in normal work — it is calculated with a large margin. On Free and Starter, keep an eye on usage if you actively generate articles via AI Writer and AI Formatting.
