LiKE tells you about important events in several ways: instant hints, a notification center with a bell, prominent banners on pages, and emails.

#Instant hints (toasts)

Short pop-up messages in the corner of the screen after an action:

  • Success — for example "Link copied", "Article restored", a bulk operation completed
  • Error — something failed, with a clear description of the cause
  • Info — a neutral hint

Sometimes a hint has an action button — for example "Undo" after a bulk operation or an AI edit. Hints disappear on their own after a few seconds.

#Notification center (bell)

A bell icon in the top bar with a badge showing the number of unread items. Unlike toasts, these notifications accumulate — you can read them later. Clicking opens the list; clicking a notification marks it as read and takes you to the relevant object (an article, plan). The "Mark all read" button marks all of them as read at once.

An invitation to an organization is accepted right in the bell: the card has "Accept" and "Decline" buttons. The buttons are shown only while the invitation is valid. If it has already been accepted (including via the link in the email), has expired or been revoked, the card says "Accepted", "Expired" or "Revoked" instead of the buttons. "Decline" only removes the card: the invitation itself stays valid, and it can be accepted via the link in the email.

Notification categories:

Category Examples
Plan and billing plan change, trial start and end, payment failed, plan downgrade, seat count change, reservation can now be paid, reservation has expired
Limits 75% or all of the monthly AI-answer allowance or indexing budget used; daily limit reached; "Team members hit the AI answer limit" — to the owner and administrators
Onboarding welcome after registration, onboarding completion
Connectors an integration token is about to expire or has expired, a source became unavailable
Channels the Slack invite link has most likely expired (30 days after it was saved) — to the owner and admins
Collaboration new comment, reply to a comment, review assigned, review completed
Invitations invitation to an organization or space

#Background jobs (indicator with a counter)

A second button appears next to the bell — a circular arrow with a counter. It is visible only while background jobs are running: a connector sync, a site crawl, a bulk re-index. No jobs, no button.

Clicking it opens the list: each job shows the source name, a completion percentage and a progress bar, plus a count such as "22 / 92" where the total is known. Jobs whose progress cannot be measured show "Running" and a moving bar.

When the last job finishes, the button disappears and a toast confirms completion. You may close the page or move to another section — the work runs on the server and will not be interrupted.

#Banners on pages

More prominent warnings directly on the screen, usually requiring action:

  • Trial ending — a few days before it ends, with a list of what will exceed the Free limits
  • Payment failed — with an "Update card" button
  • Plan downgrade scheduled (on the "Plan and limits" page) — can be cancelled before it applies
  • Limit exceeded — for the owner, a window offering to move to a higher plan; for other members, an explanation and a "Notify administrator" button; separately — "Seat limit reached"
  • "AI recommends" — employees' questions not covered by articles (see Questions and gaps)

#Action confirmations

Important and irreversible actions (deletion, unpublishing, reset) are confirmed by LiKE in a branded window with clear text — there are no native browser windows.

#Emails

LiKE sends emails only for significant events:

Category When it arrives
Account email confirmation or password-reset code; welcome email after registration
Team invitation to an organization or space
Plan and billing trial start, approaching end and expiration, upgrade to paid; payment failed; plan change; warnings about an upcoming plan downgrade
Connectors an integration token is about to expire; a source became unavailable
Organization organization deletion: the deadline and a restore link, what happens to the subscription; permanent deletion: subscription cancelled, refund for a non-activated order
Content a link to an audio note that was shared with you
Digests weekly report (on Mondays — queries, gaps, unanswered questions), knowledge gaps found, reminder to complete onboarding

Security. Emails with a code or password reset contain a one-time link/code with a short lifetime: the email confirmation code at registration is valid for 24 hours, the password reset code and link for 30 minutes. Passwords are never sent by email.
